Temple Football Announces Staff Additions and Title Changes Ahead of 2026 Season

PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football announced the addition of several staff members and title changes ahead of the 2026 football season. Adam Klein is a familiar face returning to Temple, while Maggie Folsom and Nate Lowenthal arrive at 10th & Diamond from outside institutions.
Maggie Folsom – Director of Recruiting Operations
Maggie Folsom joins the Owls as the director of recruiting operations. She comes to Temple with extensive experience in recruiting operations and program management. A native of Brunswick, Maine, she has built a strong foundation in athlete development, recruiting coordination, and administrative operations across multiple Division I football programs.
Folsom most recently served as the Director of Recruiting Operations at Appalachian State from 2023-25, where she played a key role in on-campus recruiting, newcomer transition, player development initiatives, business office functions, and coordinating recruiting travel. Prior to that, she was the director of on campus recruiting at Memphis in 2023, overseeing all aspects of on-campus recruiting logistics and communications.
In 2022, Folsom contributed to LSU Football as a recruiting assistant during Coach Brian Kelly's first season, supporting the program's transition and recruiting efforts. She also gained experience as an operations assistant at Samford in 2022. Her early career was shaped at Troy, where she served as a recruiting and operations assistant from 2019-22 while earning her degree in hospitality, sport, and tourism management.
A proud graduate of Troy University, Folsom combines her academic background with hands-on experience to support high-performing athletic programs. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Dunkin.
Adam Klein – Offensive Analyst/Assistant Offensive Line Coach
Adam Klein returned to Temple in the spring of 2026 as offensive analyst/assistant offensive line coach after one season at Oregon State where he was a graduate assistant.
This marked a return for Klein who had been at Temple since 2018 first as a player and then transitioning into a staff member. He played through the 2022 season and then spent two as a graduate assistant.
Klein was a standout player, team captain and single-digit honoree during his time as a player at Temple. As a freshman in 2018, he started 10 games at right tackle and earned ECAC Offensive Rookie of the Year. After five seasons as a starter (he played one COVID season) where he earned starts at all five offensive line positions and played for three head coaches, he became the school's first five-time letter winner.
Klein graduated with a degree in sport and recreation management, and after a brief stint with the Washington Commanders, returned to Temple to continue working towards his masters. The Springfield, Pa., native worked as a graduate assistant in 2023 with the scouting and operations department and moved over to coaching in 2024 when he helped with the offensive line.
Nate Lowenthal – Assistant Director of Scouting
Nate Lowenthal comes to Temple as the Assistant Director of Scouting ahead of the 2026 season.
Lowenthal arrived in Philadelphia after spending five seasons at Vanderbilt, where he worked in the football program's player personnel department. He began as a student assistant from 2021–23 before being elevated to a personnel analyst role from 2024–25.
During his time with the Commodores, Lowenthal was part of a staff that achieved significant on-field success, including a victory in the Birmingham Bowl in 2024 and contributing to the winningest regular season in program history in 2025.
Lowenthal earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt, where he studied human & organizational development, business, and data science.
Originally from Highland Park, Illinois, Lowenthal is a native of the Chicago area.
In addition to these staff hires, Nick Arleo received a title change from assistant director of scouting/ special teams assistant to defensive analyst/assistant linebackers coach.
