American Conference Announces Kickoff Times for 2026 Including Six for Temple

PHILADELPHIA – The American Conference along with ESPN and CBS announced start times for the first three weeks of the 2026 season, in addition to several nationally televised games. That list included six start times and television designations for Temple Football.
Temple will have no less than five nationally televised games on linear television during head coach K.C. Keeler's second season at the helm of Temple Football. Ironically, the six kickoffs are all set for different times.
The Owls will begin the 2026 campaign in the confines of Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, September 5, against the Rhode Island Rams. The game will be on ESPN+ beginning at 2 p.m.
The highly anticipated Penn State matchup will be the following week in Philadelphia on Saturday, September 12. This rivalry contest will air on ESPN2 at 12 p.m.
In week three of the season Temple will hit the road for the first time and travel to face the Toledo Rockets at the Glass Bowl. The game will be on CBS Sports Net on Saturday, September 19, and will begin at 3 p.m.
The Army Black Knights will travel to the City of Brotherly Love on Friday, September 25, for a 4 p.m. meeting with the Owls. The contest will be aired on ESPN.
Week nine will be a road contest for Temple against the Navy Midshipmen in Annapolis, Md. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Net on Saturday, November 7, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
The final home game on the 2026 schedule for Temple will be against the Rice Owls in a primetime showdown at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be on ESPN and will kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
Kickoff times and broadcast information for the remaining games will be subject to the standard 12-day window and will be determined at a later date. The conference and broadcast networks will announce the Black Friday schedule no later than October 11.
