Allstate, AFCA Announce 2026 Good Works Team Nominees

NORTHBROOK, ILL. – Monday morning Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced the nominees for the 2026 Good Works Team. This team recognizes student-athletes and head coaches at every level of college football who are making an impact through community service, academic achievement, and leadership.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.

Temple head coach K.C. Keeler and sophomore wide receiver Rameir Hardy each have made it onto the nominee list for this year's award. The duo believes wholeheartedly that making an impact on the community and the Temple community is a necessity.

Upon his arrival to 10th & Diamond, Keeler wanted to reconnect with the surrounding area in north Philadelphia. The Owls, led by Keeler, are back to beautifying the streets in the immediate area around Temple's football complex, 10th and Diamond. The team will go out in groups and clean up the streets by picking up trash and sweeping leaves.

"It's something that I'm hoping that they will take away for the rest of their lives in terms of when they go back into their communities," said Keeler.

At St. Joe's Prep High School, Hardy embraced the school's Jesuit philosophy of becoming "men for and with others," a lesson that followed him to Temple. Since arriving on campus, he has immersed himself in service opportunities both through the football program and independently throughout the city.

Hardy has participated in food drives, school supply giveaways, hospital visits, neighborhood cleanups, and youth outreach events. He described volunteering at recovery missions during trips with his high school football team, helping individuals recovering from addiction and seeing firsthand how small acts of service could mean so much to someone else.

"It makes my heart smile," Hardy said. "But it also makes their heart smile, and it also makes their life a little bit easier."

Earlier this year, Hardy helped turn that belief into direct action by organizing a free youth football camp in Frankford alongside several longtime friends and fellow athletes. The camp, held in one of Philadelphia's underserved neighborhoods, quickly exceeded expectations. After posting a flyer, nearly 200 children registered within two weeks.

The 2026 nominee class includes student-athletes and coaches from every level of college football competition.
