Haeufgloeckner Named American Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year

IRVING, Texas – Temple men's soccer player Rocco Haeufgloeckner was named the American Conference Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced.
Haeufgloeckner appeared in 15 matches, making 12 starts for the Owls last season. He played the full 90 minutes in three matches and recorded a season-high three shots at Monmouth. He is the first Temple men's soccer player since Vaughn Spurrier in 2013-14 to earn the honor.
A mechanical engineering major with a 3.90 GPA, Haeufgloeckner graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma as a sophomore. This year, he presented innovative research on an autonomous drone detection system at Temple's Undergraduate Research Symposium. He was also awarded the Livingstone Undergraduate Research Award in 2024 and the Dr. Dennis Lebofsky Award in 2023, both for his research paper titled "International Students' Academic Challenges at American Colleges."
Beyond the classroom, Haeufgloeckner continued his professional development as a Solutions Engineering Intern at Robco last summer.
