Ward, Pimenta and Zivkovic Earn American Conference Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – After victories over LIU and Saint Peter's, Temple women's soccer players Maddie Ward, Victoria Pimenta and Ana Zivkovic all earned American Conference weekly honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Ward earned American Conference Defender of the Week honors following two strong performances on the back line. Ward recorded two shots and scored a goal against LIU, helping secure a 3-0 victory over the Sharks on Thursday. Following a 1-0 victory over Saint Peter's on Sunday afternoon, Ward played the full 90 minutes against the Peacocks.
Freshman Pimenta was a key contributor in the win over LIU, recording one goal and one assist against the Sharks. She also produced two shots, including one on goal, against Saint Peter's.
Freshman Zivkovic has recorded three consecutive shutouts in her last three starts in goal. Zivkovic recorded one save while facing four shots against Saint Peter's. Against LIU, she faced two shots and tallied two saves. In the 1-0 victory over Hampton, she recorded two saves while facing four shots.
