PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University men's basketball team will play a pair of neutral-site contests at the Cathedral of College Basketball during The Palestra's 100th anniversary celebration in the 2026-27 season.

The Owls will take on two former conference rivals, facing Richmond on Nov. 8 and St. Bonaventure on Dec. 12.

"The Palestra holds a special place in the history of college basketball and Philadelphia, and we are honored to be part of its 100th anniversary celebration," Temple head coach Adam Fisher said. "Richmond and St. Bonaventure present two challenging matchups against well-coached programs, and we look forward to competing at one of college basketball's most historic venues."

Returning to University City for the first time since facing Penn in 2022, Temple holds a 280-143 (.662) all-time record at The Palestra. The Owls' history at the venue began with a 35-30 victory over Franklin & Marshall on March 21, 1936, as part of the U.S. Olympic Trials. Richmond will become the 67th different opponent Temple has faced at The Palestra when the teams meet Nov. 8.

The Owls will take on Richmond for the 22nd time on Nov. 8, with Temple leading the all-time series 11-10. It will mark the first meeting between the programs since the 2022-23 season, when Richmond earned a 69-41 victory at Barclays Center as part of the Empire Classic.

Temple and St. Bonaventure will meet for the 61st time on Dec. 12, with the Owls holding a 53-7 advantage in the all-time series and a 3-0 record against the Bonnies at The Palestra. The teams last met during Temple's final season in the Atlantic 10 in 2012-13, when St. Bonaventure snapped the Owls' 15-game winning streak in the series with an 81-78 victory at the Liacouras Center.

Presale tickets for Temple season ticket holders will go on sale Sept. 16, followed by the public sale Sept. 22.

Tipoff times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
