Pimenta Named American Conference Honorable Mention

IRVING, Texas – Following Temple's 2-1 victory over Rider, Victoria Pimenta earned American Conference Honorable Mention honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The recognition comes one week after Pimenta was named the American Conference Freshman of the Week. The freshman continued her strong start to the season against Rider, playing a pivotal role in the Owls' fourth consecutive victory by contributing to both of Temple's goals. Pimenta scored in the 14th minute after assisting on Amaya Hill's opening goal in the fourth minute.
Through four games, Pimenta leads the Owls with two goals and six points. The Ontario native is also tied with Hill and Giovanna Echavarria for the team lead with two assists.
Pimenta's performance against Rider helped Temple improve to 4-1 on the season, marking the program's first four-game winning streak since 2014.
