Owls’ 2026-27 American Conference Schedule Announced

IRVING, Texas – The American Conference announced its 2026-27 men's basketball league schedule Wednesday.
As previously announced, Temple will play home-and-home series with Rice, UTSA, UAB, South Florida, Tulane and East Carolina. The Owls will also host Tulsa, Wichita State and Memphis at the Liacouras Center, while traveling for single games at Charlotte, North Texas and Florida Atlantic.
Following its non-conference finale at Princeton on Dec. 22, Temple opens league play at Rice on Dec. 30. The Owls begin the new year with home games against UTSA (Jan. 2) and UAB (Jan. 5) before traveling to Charlotte (Jan. 10).
Temple hosts South Florida (Jan. 14) and Rice (Jan. 17), then visits Tulane (Jan. 20). A home game against Tulsa on Jan. 28 concludes the first half of the conference schedule.
The Owls open the second half with road games at UAB (Jan. 31) and North Texas (Feb. 4). After hosting East Carolina on Feb. 7, they travel to Florida Atlantic (Feb. 10) and South Florida (Feb. 13).
Temple returns to the Liacouras Center to face Wichita State (Feb. 21) and Tulane (Feb. 24), then closes February at East Carolina (Feb. 27). The Owls' final home game is against Memphis on March 4. The Cherry and White conclude the regular season at UTSA on March 7.
The American Conference Men's Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 10-14 in Tampa, Florida.
Temple announced its 14-game non-conference schedule last week, highlighted by 10 games within Philadelphia city limits and a three-game trip to the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Owls will play six games at the Liacouras Center, including matchups against 2026 NCAA Tournament participants Villanova and Wright State, two at the Palestra during its 100th anniversary season and one at Xfinity Mobile Arena as part of the Big 5 Classic. Temple will also visit La Salle.
