Mason Receives American Conference Weekly Honorable Mention

PHILADELPHIA – The American Conference announced Monday morning the list of weekly award winners and honorable mentions at the conclusion of the first weekend of the 2026 college football season. Sophomore running back Keveun Mason received an honorable mention nod after his performance in the 38-14 win over Rhode Island.
Mason announced himself as one of the nation's prime running backs with a dominant performance in Temple's season-opening victory. Mason carried the Temple offense on his back, rushing for a career-high 158 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He added to his day with 34 receiving yards, giving him 192 total yards for the afternoon, playing a huge role in the Owls' win.
Mason's 192 all-purpose yards put him at fifth highest all-purpose yards in a Temple season-opening game since 1995.
Mason and the Owls return to Lincoln Financial Field this Saturday, Sept. 12, at 12:00 pm for a week two battle with the #18 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2. For tickets, click the link above.
