SAAC

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was formed with the purpose to enhance the overall student-athlete experience at Temple University.

The mission of the SAAC is to:

Engage in discussion surrounding proposed NCAA legislation;
Provide the voice of student-athletes to present and address concerns and issues to athletics administrators;
Communicate information to student-athletes;
Foster a positive image among student-athletes and intercollegiate athletics to the campus and local communities;
Assist with the coordination of CHAMPS/Life Skills programs and community service projects

The committee, organized through the Office of Compliance and Student Services, is comprised of two representatives from each varsity team. The SAAC members are selected by the head coach at the beginning of the academic year and the entire group is reviewed by the Academics/Compliance Committee ( the committee comprised of Athletic Administrators and the Faculty Athletic Representative) to assure the voice all student-athletes will be represented - paying particular attention to minority involvement and leadership opportunities.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee meetings are held on the3rd Tuesday of the month during the academic year. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is run by the SAAC Executive Board:
