ON THE AIRWAVES
 
Temple University once again has 1210 AM WPHT as its flagship radio station during the 2012-13 seasons. The 50,000-watt Infinity-owned broadcast station has served in that capacity since 2001. Temple broadcasts are coordinated and produced by the University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and are free of charge. VIDEO STREAMING
 
Football and men’s basketball games that are not televised are video streamed via OwlAccess on the University’s official athletic website – www.OwlSports.com.
 
All women’s basketball games and select events from Temple’s other 21 varsity sports will be streamed throughout the year. Temple students from the School of Broadcast, Telecommunications and Mass Media produce and direct the telecasts.
 
There is a $9.95 monthly pass and a $79.95 annual pass fee for a subscription to OwlAccess.

Temple Basketball: Above the Rim, a weekly television and web show featuring exclusive behind the scenes access to the Owls’ basketball programs, is in its second season on Comcast SportsNet. Produced by Temple University Athletics and 20/20 Visual Media, LLC, the 30-minute show will feature 10 installments during the 2012-13 season. Check your local listings for dates and times.
 
Temple TUFF
Behind the Scenes with Temple Football, a weekly television and web show featuring exclusive behind the scenes access to the Owls’ football program, completed its sixth season on Comcast SportsNet. Produced by Temple University Athletics and 20/20 Visual Media, LLC, the 30-minute show featured 12 installments in 2012.
 
Both shows will also be available OnDemand for Comcast digital cable subscribers.

HARRY DONAHUE
PLAY BY PLAY • 11th season    
 
The 2012-13 season marks Harry Donahue’s 11th consecutive year as the voice of Temple University men’s basketball. A Philadelphia native, he has also served as play-by-play announcer for the Owls’ football program for the past 18 seasons, including 2012.
 
One of the most recognizable voices in the Delaware Valley, Donahue has worked as a morning news and sports anchor at KYW Newsradio (1060 AM) since 1979. He first joined the station in 1974 as a freelance reporter and anchor. Today, the Infinity Broadcasting radio station is the market leader, with more listeners than any other radio station in the Philadelphia region.
 
Donahue is a well-known broadcaster and an integral part of the Philadelphia sports scene. He has done play-by-play for Eagles pre-season games, 76ers basketball contests and college basketball for ESPN’s Atlantic 10 Game of the Week. Every Sunday, NFL fans around the country hear Donahue describe NFL Films’ highlights that are displayed on stadium scoreboards. He is the voice of NFL.com’s weekly highlights. Donahue also hosted “Temple Sports Now,” a bi-weekly TV show that featured Owl athletics.
           
Donahue was the play-by-play voice for the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL. He has also hosted “Center Court,” the pre-game, half-time, and post-game shows for the 76ers’ telecasts.
           
Donahue’s reporting has earned him two Pennsylvania Associated Press Awards for his coverage of the Philadelphia Phillies’ World Series run in 1980. In May 2000, he was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
           
Donahue is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University. He and his wife Lynda reside in Montgomery County, PA and have three sons and five grandchildren.
 
JOHN BAUM
COLOR ANALYST • 16th season

           
John Baum, Temple basketball’s second all-time leading rebounder and captain of the 1969 NIT Championship team, is in his 16th year as color analyst for Temple men’s basketball.
           
Baum graduated from Temple with an undergraduate degree in accounting. A three-time all-city selection, he was enshrined in the Temple University Hall of Fame in 1979.
           
Baum was drafted by teams in both the NBA, Chicago (second round) and ABA, Los Angeles (first round), respectively. He played in the NBA for three seasons with the Chicago Bulls (1969–72) before competing in the ABA for three years with New Jersey (1972–74) and Indiana (1974–75). Baum and teammate Rick Barry were instrumental with the Nets winning the 1973 ABA title.

KRISTEN FOLEY
COLOR ANALYST
 
Kristen Foley is in her 13th year in Temple administration and 18th overall.  She was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director in August 2011 and oversees the administration of women’s basketball, volleyball, women’s soccer, cross country and track & field, field hockey, fencing, men’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s tennis, and men’s and women’s rowing.  In addition, Foley provides the color analysis for the women’s basketball web stream broadcasts.

Foley entered athletic administration with 13 years of Division I women’s basketball coaching experience, including a five-year stint as head coach at Temple (1995-00).

Foley earned her bachelor’s degree (1986) and a master’s degree in Educational Administration (1991) from Rutgers. A standout women’s basketball player, she captained the Lady Knights to consecutive NCAA Elite Eight appearances in 1986 and 1987, while being named to the All-East Regional team in 1986. She has also been honored as a member of the Rutgers Basketball Hall of Fame.

STEVE JOACHIM
COLOR ANALYST • 13th season
        
 
Steve Joachim, Temple’s 1974 Maxwell Award winner as college football’s player of the year, is in his 13th season as analyst for Owls’ football broadcasts.
 
One of the most honored players in the history of Temple football, he started for two years at quarterback under Wayne Hardin after transferring from Penn State. He led the Owls to 9-1 (1973) and 8-2 (1974) records while accumulating 3,262 yards passing and 31 touchdowns.
 
A first-team Walter Camp, second-team United Press International and third-team Associated Press All-American as a senior, Joachim played in both the All-American Bowl and Blue-Gray All-Star Classic before being selected by the Baltimore Colts in the 1975 draft. He played three seasons in the NFL and concluded his career with the Lou Holtz-coached New York Jets, backing-up Hall of Fame signal-caller Joe Namath.
 
Joachim  and his wife Barbara reside in Delaware County, Pa. They have three children, Steve Jr., Janeen, Amanda, and one grandchild, Steven III. Steve Jr. played lacrosse at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point before serving as a Captain with the 82nd Airbourne in Iraq.
