In just 15 years, FGCU has built a competitive NCAA Division I athletics program composed of 15 teams. In particular the Eagles gained national acclaim and was christened "Dunk City" for the men’s basketball team’s phenomenal run to the Sweet 16 in March of 2013. We are proud of our Green and Blue and for the recognition all of our teams have received for their many accomplishments both on and off the playing venues.
With a record 3.32 cumulative grade point average our student-athletes hold a significantly higher average GPA than the overall student population. In fact, in a recent semester 27 student-athletes earned a GPA of 4.0, and 107 exceeded 3.5.
