David Mathewson begins his second season at Temple University as the assistant director of external operations. He works with football camp and recruiting.
Mathewson, however, is no stranger to Temple football, working with the Owls while pursuing his undergraduate degree. He served as a student assistant coach during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, working with the defense and special teams. During his tenure, Mathewson has worked in recruiting and staff coordination. He assisted with the creation of weekly practice schedules, scouting reports, and motivational signage. Mathewson has also worked with Temple’s football operations, helping with the Owls’ summer camps.
During the summer of 2010, Mathewson worked as the football operations and recruiting intern at Princeton. He organized weekly mail campaigns and helped with the summer camp series.
The Annandale, N.J., native earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management from Temple in 2010.
