Frank Piraino enters his second season as the head strength and conditioning coach for football at Temple University.
Piraino spent 2010 as the head strength and conditioning coach for football at Marshall University. Prior to joining the Marshall staff, he served on the strength and conditioning staff at the University of Florida for five years.
Piraino served as the strength and conditioning coordinator for Florida baseball in 2008. Additionally, Piraino assisted in all aspects of the Gator football strength and conditioning program from January 2005 to January 2010.
Prior to his arrival at Florida, Piraino was a strength and conditioning assistant at the University of Notre Dame from May 2004 until January 2005. He worked primarily with the Fighting Irish football squad.
Between January 2003 and May 2004, Piraino was a graduate assistant at Michigan State University, where he assisted in strength and conditioning programs for the Spartan men's and women's basketball, football, and ice hockey teams.
The Cleveland, Ohio, native was an assistant football coach at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, from August 2000 to January 2003. Piraino completed an internship with the Cleveland Indians in which he assisted in the physical conditioning of the Tribe's major and minor league baseball players between July 2000 and January 2001.
Born January 26, 1980, Piraino earned a bachelor's degree in sport and exercise science from the University of Akron in 2002 and a master's degree in sport administration from Michigan State University in 2004.
