Khalil Ahmad was hired by Temple Football in February 2025 as the associate general manager, personnel and recruitment. He came to Philadelphia after two years at Penn State as the football recruiting coordinator for personnel and recruitment.
Ahmad began his career in college recruiting in 2021 at Rutgers where he worked as a player development assistant. Prior to that time he spent several years as a high school assistant coach at several N.J. high schools such as Paterson Eastside, Passaic, and Northern Valley at Demarest.
After Rutgers, Ahmad bounced back-and-forth from Syracuse to Penn State. He was the director of high school relations for the Orange in 2022, where he was able to get various top ranked prospects to visit campus and even helped secure Syracuse’s top class in school history. He left for Penn State in January 2023 and spent a year with the Nittany Lions. He left in December for two months at Syracuse to be the executive director of player personnel and recruiting, securing another top class for the Orangemen. However, he would return to the Nittany Lions in February of 2024 and was the primary recruiter for many of Penn State’s top high school and portal additions.
During his time with Penn State, Ahmad became well known rather quickly for his connections throughout the country as he has deep ties to Mid-Atlantic, and was also named Rivals.com B1G Up Next which honored the Top 10 up and coming recruiters in the Big Ten Conference.
