Grant Kitani joined Temple basketball as a graduate manager starting in the 2017-18 season. Kitani is a 2017 graduate of UCLA, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science. While at Temple, he will work toward a master's degree in business administration.
In 2016, Kitani was promoted to head manager for UCLA men's basketball after serving as an equipment manager for his first three years. As head manager, he was responsible for nine other team managers, ensuring that all practices and game days ran smoothly.
Kitani has worked at both UCLA Basketball Camps and Harvey Kitani Basketball Camps as assistant director of operations and as a coach. He played high school basketball at Rolling Hills Preparatory School in San Pedro, Calif., where his father, Harvey, is head coach. Kitani was a three-time team captain and named to the All-Division First Team in 2012.
