Collin Zeffer
Collin Zeffer enters his first year as an Assistant Men's Cross Country Coach after being hired in September of 2022.
 
Most recently, Zeffer served as an assistant coach working with distance and middle distance runners at Rider University for three years. At Rider, Zeffer assisted in development and implementation of training plans for distance and middle-distance runners and recruiting.

Before Rider, Zeffer served as a volunteer assistant coach at Penn working primarily with men's distance and middle distance runners from November 2016 through July of 2019.
 
As part of his responsibilities on the Quaker staff, he worked with on-campus recruiting, organizing team transportation and driving the team to meets and practices as well as working with the Director of Operations regarding logistics and operations.
 
On the Penn staff, he mentored four All-Ivy athletes and five all-region athletes in cross country. Last fall, he also helped guide a pair of runners to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships. In indoor and outdoor track, he saw 24 all-ivy athletes under his tutelage as well as four Ivy League Champions.
 
Before joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Zeffer was the Head Girls Cross Country and Track and Field Head Coach at Bishop McGann-Mercy Diocesan High School in Riverhead, New York. He held the position from 2013-2016 and oversaw all daily training and creating of meet schedules for the team.
 
He's also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Rolling Thunder Track Club.
 
Zeffer graduated from the University of Delaware in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts. During his time as an undergraduate, he was also a two-year member of the varsity cross country and track and field teams.
