Trevor Singer returns for his fourth year with the Temple men's soccer program after being an assistant coach at the University of Maine for two seasons. With the Owls, Singer conducts training for the goalkeepers and is responsioble for recruiting gifted student-athletes to improve the program.
At Maine, Singer mentored two America East All Academic team selections, fourteen America East Academic honor roll selections, a NEISL All-Star, an America East All-Rookie team player, and oversaw his 2008 squad garner the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
For the past three years, Singer has been a part of the Region I Olympic Development Staff and also earned his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
In addition to his duties to the Temple men's soccer team, Singer has been coaching for the FC Delco U14/U15 United States Soccer Federation Academy since 2009. Over the course of his tutelage there, he has coached and produced a 15-year old United States National Team starter.
Prior to his stint at Maine, Singer was an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Massachusetts. During his coaching time he assisted in training All-America, Umbro National Player of the Year goalkeeper Zach Simmons.
As a student-athlete, Singer began his career at Rider, where he earned MAAC All-Rookie honors as a freshman, and MAAC All-Academic team honors as a sophomore. Transferring to UMass as a junior, he helped lead his team to a No. 22 ranking his first year. In his final year of eligibility, Singer and the Minutemen earned a No. 4 ranking in the nation and captured the Atlantic 10 Title, while competing to the final four of the NCAA College Cup.
While at Maine, Singer was also serving as the head coach of the 1992 Maine Olympic Development Program, leading his team on an undefeated run through the group rounds and eventually advancing to the semi-finals of the regional tournament - the most success a team from Maine has experienced.
Currently, the Phoenixville, Pa. native is a certified USSF B Licensed coach and coaches the FC Delco U15 USSF Academy team on which two national pool players and one national team player participate.
