2023-24 (Sophomore): Nationally ranked by the ITA in Women's Doubles as high as No. 20 with partner Samantha Nanere after qualifying for the ITA National Fall Championships...Concluded fall season with an 4-2 record followed by a 6-4 dual record in the spring, resulting in a 10-6 overall doubles record...Nine of fifteen victories were achieved with Samantha Nanere as the duo tabbed a 9-6 overall record, a 4-2 fall record...Partnered once with Marianthi Christoforidou, tabbing one win...Achieved a 10-7 overall singles record, earning 7-6 in dual action and 3-1 in the fall...Played in the No, 1, 2, and 3 positions accumulating 3-1, 3-2, and 1-3 records.
2022-23 (Freshman): Played with three doubles partners throughout the season going 27-6 overall, including 13-4 during dual doubles. . . Excelled with teammate Jamie Wei as the two went 27-4 overall on the season, including 13-3 out of the first position of dual play. . . The partners cracked the top 15 national rankings of the ITA reaching No. 5. . . .The pair became first at-large team to reach the NCAA regionals in school history. . . Had an overall record of 22-2 in singles play, including 15-1 dual singles. . . Saw most her success out of the fourth (5-0) and fifth (8-1) positions. . . Also was perfect out of the second position where she went 1-0 and 3-0 out of the sixth position. . . Her 15 dual singles wins ties her for 10th all-time in single-season school history and her the 15-1 record is highest win percentage (.937) of a player with 10 or more wins.
Before Temple: Attended Hakuho Girls School in Yokohama, Japan… Placed first in the Doubles Inter-high school tennis competition as a junior… Had a stellar freshman campaign, placing first in doubles play in the U-16 All Japan Junior Tennis Championship and advancing to the round of 16 in singles play… Daughter of Kazuto Uchijima and Pohlan Tan… Sister, Moyuka Uchijima is a professional tennis player…Plans to study Psychology at Temple.
