Charlotte Imer
Charlotte Imer enters her third season as an assistant coach for the Temple women's cross country and track & field programs after being hired in July of 2022.

During Imer’s time in North Philadelphia, the Owls have seen success in women’s cross country and the distance events in track and field. Laura Nicholson (2022) and Elsa Chan (2023) both earned All-Conference Honors at the AAC Cross Country Championships. In indoor track, Nicholson earned bronze in the mile at the 2023 AAC Indoor Championships. She went on to win gold in the 1,500 meters and silver in the 800 meters at the 2023 AAC Outdoor Championships. Nicholson earned a spot at the 2023 NCAA East Regional, where she advanced to the quarterfinals in the 1,500 meters. Nicholson was the first Temple athlete since 2021 to advance out of the preliminaries and the first Temple athlete since Blanca Fernandez in 2015 to advance to in the 1,500 meters.

Several program records have been set under Imer’s coaching, including Chan’s most recent performance in the 10,000 meters at the Raleigh Relays in the spring of 2024 — her time of 34:43.45 set a new Temple record. Nicholson also set a new program record in the 1,500 meters, 4:15.89, at the 2023 Temple Invitational.

Imer joined the Cherry & White after having most recently spent time at Catholic University as an assistant cross country/track and field coach. Before that, she spent two years as a volunteer assistant coach at Tennessee Tech while earning her master's degree in sport management. Imer also served as graduate assistant cross country coach at Tennessee-Martin for one year.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Imer attended Eastern Kentucky University, graduating in 2017 with a bachelors in political science. At EKU, Imer earned All-American honors in cross country in 2016, finishing 31st at the NCAA championships, the highest ever finish by an EKU woman at nationals. The following year, Imer led the EKU women to their first NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships where they finished 23rd.

Imer was also an All-American track & field, earning second team honors in the 5,000 meters in 2017, posting a personal-best time of 15:59.3 at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

Imer was named the OVC Track Athlete of the Year as well as the EKU Female Athlete of the Year twice. She also won the OVC indoor 3,000-meter championship in 2016 and 2017 while claiming the OVC title in the indoor 5,000m in 2017. During her career, the Colonels won three consecutive OVC women's outdoor championships.
