Kevin Copp, a familiar face in the Temple University Athletics Department, returned to the athletics staff in August 2019, taking on a brand new role within the department at the Associate Athletic Director for Video Production. In between his stints with the Owls, Copp served as Assistant Executive Director of Digital Content and Communications for the Ivy League. Additionally, since Fall 2021 Copp has served as the "Voice of the Owls"for football and men's basketball radio broadcasts on the Temple Sports Network from Van Wagner, as well as play-by-play broadcaster for a number of Temple Olympic Sports on ESPN+.
In his role, Copp oversees the production of all Temple home events on ESPN networks, including live and on-demand event streaming of games, press conferences, and special events on ESPN+. The American Athletic Conference and ESPN began a 12-year media rights extension starting in the 2020-21 season with a new emphasis on live streaming through ESPN+, ESPN's industry-leading direct-to-consumer sports streaming service.
While at the Ivy League, Copp was responsible for the initial launch of the "Ivy League on ESPN" and day-to-day management of the League's partnership with ESPN, which showcases over 1,100 events annually across ESPN platforms. He also managed the League's on-demand video library and oversaw broadcasts at Ivy League postseason events.
In his previous three-year stint at Temple, Copp was responsible for overseeing the video services department, which provided video content on OwlSports.com, Temple social media platforms, and in-venue video boards. Additionally, he managed the production of live broadcasts for OwlsTV and served as on-camera talent and play-by-play broadcaster.
Prior to working at Temple, Copp served as Director of New Media for Towson University and as a Video Production Manager and play-by-play broadcaster for Georgia IMG Sports Marketing at the University of Georgia. Copp's other play-by-play broadcasting credits include SEC Network basketball and gymnastics, the 2025 American Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship on ESPN+, as well as championship events for the CAA, American East, MAAC, and Ivy League.
A 2010 graduate from the University of Georgia, Copp finished with a bachelor's degree in English while interning with the Strategic Communications department at Temple and spending a summer as a broadcaster with the Wareham Gateman of the Cape Cod League. Copp and his wife, Kate, have two sons, Clayton and Brendan, born in March 2018 and November 2020, respectively.
