  • Title:
    Chief of Staff

Andy Allison was named the Chief of Staff for the Temple men's basketball team in August 2025 and enters his second season with the Owls in 2026-27.

Allison spent three seasons (2021-24) in the same role at Duquesne under head coach Keith Dambrot, helping the Dukes capture their first Atlantic 10 Conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance since 1977 during the 2023-24 campaign.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andy Allison to our staff,” said Fisher. “Andy brings a wealth of knowledge, tremendous experience, and a proven track record of success. He is a winner in every sense of the word, and his passion, leadership, and commitment to excellence will make an immediate impact on our program. We couldn’t be more excited to have Andy and his wife, Jocelyn, join our Temple family.”

Before his stint in Pittsburgh, Allison served three seasons as an assistant coach at Division III Stockton University.

He brings nearly 25 years of collegiate coaching and administrative experience to North Broad Street, including nine seasons on Derek Kellogg’s staff at UMass (2008-17). Allison helped guide the Minutemen’s return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 15 seasons during the 2013-14 campaign.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to join the Temple basketball family,” said Allison. “Anytime you can do a job that you love, surrounded by great people, in a great program, and for a great university and city, I can think of nothing better. I look forward to what lies ahead and being a part of the rich tradition of Temple basketball.”

Earlier in his career, Allison worked in basketball operations under John Calipari at Memphis, serving as a graduate assistant for the Tigers’ 2002 NIT championship team and their 2003 NCAA Tournament squad. After one year as director of operations at Western Kentucky, he returned to Memphis in an operations capacity and helped the Tigers reach three more NCAA Tournaments, win 30 or more games in each of those seasons, and finish as the 2008 national runner-up.

Allison began his coaching career as an assistant and junior varsity coach at Mount Union in his home state of Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State in 2000.
