D'minia Stokes

D’minia Stokes was named the Associate Athletic Director of Development Operations in February 2022.
Before joining Temple Athletics, Stokes served just over two years (2019-2022) as the Director of Major Gifts and Premium Seating for Athletics at Appalachian State University. During her time there she secured a $750k lead gift, which was also the largest, for the App State Track & Field program’s new track complex. She was also successful in selling all inventory, adding up to over $900k, of the newly constructed North End Zone Club within a year of it being opened.
From 2014-to 2019, Stokes worked at Florida State University where for the first 2 years she served as a Ticket Sales & Service Account Executive for the remaining 2 ½ years, she was promoted to the Premium Sales & Service Account Executive. While at FSU, she oversaw a combined book of business of over 1500 season ticket holders and Seminole Club members and annually retained 90-95% of those members. She also produced over $880k in revenue including but not limited to, new season ticket sales and annual fund upgrades.
A native of Atlanta, GA., D’minia earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville where she was a 4-year track & field student-athlete. She is an alumna of the Learfield Minority Academy (2018), the Crest Leadership Cohort (2020), and the NCAA/Women Leaders in College Sports Institute for Administrative Advancement (2021). Stokes is also an active member of NAADD (National Association of Athletic Development Directors), Women Leaders in College Sports, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Stokes is currently pursuing her master's degree in the STHM sport business program.
