Dr. Kia Kerrin, DSW, LSW, is a clinical social worker and educator with a focus on mental health, psychotherapy, and social work education. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught at institutions such as Temple University, Eastern University, and the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in clinical practice, research, and social work education.
As the Mental Health Director at TUWell in Temple University’s Department of Athletics, Dr. Kerrin provides therapy, case management, and crisis intervention for student-athletes, utilizing evidence-based therapies. She also leads mental health and wellness workshops for teams. Her experience spans mobile therapy, research roles in psychiatric and cancer studies, and contributing to academic publications.
Dr. Kerrin is passionate about community service, mentoring individuals and volunteering in educational and coaching roles
