Rashan Chanyothi joined the Temple University Olympic Strength & Conditioning staff in July 2022 as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. Rashan directly oversees the strength and conditioning programs for Field Hockey, Crew, and Men’s Tennis.
Before arriving at Temple, Rashan was an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at Georgetown University (2021-2022). His time as a Hoya was spent working directly with Field Hockey, Women’s Rowing, Track & Field (Men’s XC & Sprinters+Jumpers), along with serving as the assistant for Football and Men’s Lacrosse.
Prior to Georgetown, Rashan was a full-time Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach at Army West Point (2020-2021). There he worked directly with all of Army’s Olympic Sports teams, while being assigned to assist primarily with Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Basketball.
Rashan also spent time as a Strength & Conditioning/Sports Science Graduate Intern at the University of Pittsburgh working exclusively with Men’s Basketball while obtaining his master’s degree in Sports Science (2019-2020). Rashan has his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Temple University in the program’s Exercise & Sports Science concentration (2017).
Rashan holds certifications from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (USAW-L1), and Functional Range Systems (FRCms).
