Women's Basketball Inks Two Recruits

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team has announced the signing of two players to national letters of intent. The Owls will welcome Marissa Mackins and Alexa Williamson for the 2018-19 season.
MARISSA MACKINS
Mackins, who comes from Durham, N.C., is a 5-8 guard out of Carolina Prep Academy. She averaged 18.3 points and 4.8 assists per game last season for her high school squad. Mackins started her prep career at Southern Durham High School, where she earned Big 8 Co-Player of the Year honors in 2016.
ALEXA WILLIAMSON
Williamson, hailing from Houston, Pa., is a 6-1 forward out of Chartiers-Houston High School. The top-ranked player in Pittsburgh, she was named the Post-Gazette 2A Player of the Year in 2017. Last season, Williamson averaged 23 points and 12 rebounds per game, leading her high school to the WPIAL Class 2A championship.
