Women's Basketball Set for AAC Tournament; Owls Face #6 Wichita State

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team will tip-off the 2018 Aaron's American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship on Saturday at noon. The Owls face Wichita State on ESPN3 in the first round of the event. 
THE BRACKET
> Temple is the #11 seed and will take on #6 WSU.
> The winner will meet #3 UCF in the quarterfinals on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple is 11-18 overall, finishing the regular season with a 3-13 record in American Athletic Conference play.

> A little "Senior Night" magic saw the Temple women's basketball team force overtime against Memphis, but the Owls fizzled in the extra session, falling 83-78 to the Tigers.
> Tanaya Atkinson scored the final six points of regulation for the Owls, including the game-tying three with five seconds on the clock to send the game to OT.
> In overtime, Temple scored first, but Memphis nailed three from long range to close out the win.
