Temple women's soccer's Shauni Kerkhoff has been named the first Under Armour Owlsports.com Athlete of the Week for the fall 2013 season.
Kerkhoff, a sophomore goalkeeper, recorded two shutouts in 1-0 wins over Loyola Maryland (Sept. 1) and Mount St. Mary's (Aug. 29) on the road. For the weekend, she made a total of five saves. So far this season, Kerkhoff has not allowed a goal in leading the Owls to a 4-0 start, the program's best since 1992.
