Hillel Levinson

One of the finest sprinters in Temple track history, Hillel Levinson held the University record in the 220 yard dash event at the time with a 21.0 clocking. He was the Middle Atlantic Conference Champion in the 100 and 220 yard events. Hillel was the Owls' leading scorer during the 1959 and 1960 seasons. He was selected Temple's most valuable trackman as a junior and senior, earning the coveted Ben Ogden Award. He starred at Philadelphia's Central High School before matriculating at Temple. A lawyer, Â he has practiced in the business and commercial aspects of the field for five years. He became the managing director of the City of Philadelphia in 1972. He has served as vice president of the Temple University Varsity Club and has been active in numerous Temple activities.
