Women's Basketball Beats Roto Banska Slovakia, 67-48, in Exhibition Game

Philadelphia (November 8) - The Temple women's basketball team defeated Roto Banska Slovakia, 67-48, tonight at The Forum at the Apollo of Temple.

Temple was led by senior guard Nicole Chaszar (Brackney, Pa./Montrose Area) who scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds for the Owls. Chaszar scored 12 of her points in the second half.

Sophomore center Lisa Jakubowicz (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan) scored 16 points and senior forward Kim Martin (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) added 12 points.

The Owls outrebounded Slovakia, 42-36, and had seven blocked shots to Slovakia's two.

Up next for the Owls is the regular season-opener against Pennsylvania on Nov. 20 at the Palestra.
