Women's Lacrosse Beats Bonnies, 29-1

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple lacrosse team routed Atlantic 10 opponent St.

Bonaventure, 29-1, April 14, at Geasey Field.

Kelly Ruch (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) led the way with six goals and

two assists. Jessica Yemm (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) added five

goals. Temple goalie Iris Alvarado, took to the field in the second half and

scored her first career goal with 12:01 to play on a free position shot.

Temple never trailed and led 18-0 at halftime. St. Bonaventure's only goal

came with 5:05 to play in the game from Emily Lilyea.

The 7:00 p.m. start time, marked the first night game in Temple lacrosse

history. Temple's 29 goals was one shy of the record 30 scored on Boston

University in 1996 and tied two other high scoring performances. It was the

most since 22 goals vs. La Salle in 1999.
