Kelly Ruch's Six Goals Lifts Lacrosse Past Penn

PHILADELPHIA (April 27) -- Kelly Ruch (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) scored six goals
and assisted on two others as the Temple lacrosse team completed its home
schedule with a 15-11 victory over Penn.
Temple (8-7) never trailed in the game but Penn (5-8) closed with 10-8 in
the second half on the first of three goals by Bess Lochocki (Chalfont,
Pa./Central Bucks West) with 13:20 remaining. Jen Jefferson (Annapolis,
Md./Annaplis) and Ruch each scored twice in a three minute stretch to put
the Owls ahead 14-8 with 6:06 to play.
The game marked the final home game for seniors Ruch, Amy Stein (Boyertown,
Pa./Boyertown), Shannon Scheurer (Sellersville, Pa./Upper Moreland) and Iris
Alvarado (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern).
Temple concludes it regular season at Maryland on Tues, May 2 at 2:00 p.m.
before beginning the Bell Atlantic Atlantic 10 Tournament on Sat. and Sun.
May 6-7 at Amherst, Mass.
