Amy Stein Named Second Team Lacrosse All-American

PHILADELPHIA (May 18) - Temple University lacrosse player Amy Stein

(Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) was named a second team Brine/IWLCA All-American.

Stein, a senior, was the Owls' top defender gathering a team leading 60

groundballs and forcing a team best 39 caused turnovers. The Physical

Education major returned to action in 2000 after making a 100 percent

recovery from a broken leg suffered just six games into the 1999 season.

Stein started all 18 games this season.

The Owls finished the 2000 season 9-9 overall and tied for first in the

Atlantic 10 with a 5-1 mark. Temple advanced to the Atlantic 10 Tournament

championship game before falling, 3-2, in overtime to Massachusetts.
