Monier Joins Staley's Staff

PHILADELPHIA (July 10) - The Temple University women's basketball coaching staff
is now complete with the hiring of Ervin Monier as an assistant coach.
Monier brings over 14 years of coaching experience at the high school,
collegiate and professional levels to Owl Country.
Prior to coming to Temple, Monier was an assistant coach at Chadwick
high school in Palos Verdes, California. He was responsible for
individual skill development at all positions, conducted practices,
scouted opponents, devised game plans and designed offensive and
defensive schemes.
A native of Hawthorne, California, Monier earned his Bachelor of Arts in
English Communications in 1985 from St. Mary's University. He then
served as an assistant coach at Hawthorne high school from 1985-1991 and
as an assistant coach at Los Angeles Southwest College from 1991-1996.
During the summers of 1989-1995, Monier designed personalized workouts
for professional basketball players to help them maintain and increase
their level of performance. Monier joins associate head coach Shawn
Campbell and assistant coach Gaye Chapman to round out the staff of Head
Coach Dawn Staley.
