Women's Soccer Nets NSCAA/adidas Academic Award

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's soccer program led by head coach Seamus Mc Williams earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Team Academic Award for the second time (1997-98 and 1999-2000) in three years. Temple was one of 100 women's programs and 34 men's programs (including NAIA, Division I, II and III schools) to receive the honor.

The NSCAA is the largest single-sport coaching organization in the United States with more than 14,600 members. To be eligible for the award a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the year based on a 4.00 scale.

Temple produced a grade point average of 3.12 as a team. Also the Owls tied the school record for victories with eleven and sported an overall record of 11-7 during the 2000 season.
