PENIC AND ERCEGOVIC IN AT DARTMOUTH INVITATIONAL

New Hampshire-- Sophomores Danira Penic and Lara Ercegovic of the Temple women's tennis team had a winning weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational on October 20-21 2001.

The No. 1 singles and doubles player, Penic started off the weekend by winning the Flight A singles bracket of the competition. She defeated Allison Ashley of Boston College 6-4, 6-3, Carly Bashleben of Dartmouth 6-3, 6-2 and fellow teammate Ercegovic 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 to win the competition.

The duo later went on to beat teams from Dartmouth and Syracuse to win the Flight A doubles bracket.

Next up for the Owls is ITA championships later in the month.
