SOPHOMORE DANIRA PENIC NAMED A-10 WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA-- Sophomore Danira Penic was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the week of October 22, 2001 after winning the flight A singles and doubles championships at the Dartmouth Invitational this past weekend.

Penic beat competitors from Syracuse, Boston College and host Dartmouth to record a 3-0 singles record.

In doubles play, Penic and teammate Lara Ercegovic also posted a 3-0 doubles record against duos from Dartmouth and Syracuse.

So far this season Penic is 5-2 at both the No. 1 singles and doubles positions.
