OWLS FLY PAST ST.BONAVENTURE 5-1

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's soccer team defeated St.Bonaventure 5-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference action on Sunday, afternoon at Geasey Field. The win raises the Owls record to 6-3-1and1-1-1 in the A-10 Temple scored four second half goals as the Owls posted a season high five goals.

Temple freshman midfielder Theresa Peronace (Philadelphia,PA/Villa Joseph Marie) scored in the 35th minute,the goal was assisted by senior forward Brandi Wright (Olathe,Kan.Olathe North).Juniors Jeanette Hibbs (Philadelphia,PA./St.Hubert's), Liz Frengs (Collingswood,NJ./Collingswood),Cameron Jennings(Richmond,VA./James River) and Marirose Roach (Danielson,Conn./Killingly) all scored o lead the Owls to their first conference win of the season. Hibbs scored in the 52 assisted by junior Brenda Gore minute,Frengs assisted by Wright in the 53 minute, Jennings goal (unassisted) in the 62 minute and Roach's goal in the 85 minute assisted by junior Denise Mondelli.Brandi Wright posted two assist giving her 57 career points third all-time in school history.

The Bonnies'goal was scored by sophomore forward Lisa Nicola in the 56 minute.

Temple (6-3-1,1-1-1) willvisitGeorge Washington in a A-10 Conference game on Friday,October 12 at 4p.m.
