Lacrosse Beats Buckeyes to Halt Losing Skid

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple lacrosse team (4-4) halted a two-game losing streak with a victory over Ohio State (5-4) 15-7 at Geasey Field on April 6.

The Owls scored the first goal of the contest when Robin Keevan found the back of the net at 20:40 in the first half. Temple took a 6-3 lead at halftime and the scoring pace got even hotter in the second half as the Owls outscored the Buckeyes 9-4.

Liz Frengs paced the Temple attack with four goals and two assists. Jen Jefferson (3 goals, 1 assist), Robin Keevan (2 goals, 1 assist), Tiffany Pulaski (2 goals, 1 assist), Jessica Yemm (1 goal, 1 assist), Deanna Radcliffe (1 goal), Alli Demas (1 goal) and Patience Synnesvedt (1 goal) rounded out the scoring for the Owls. Temple goalie Sheena Oommen had 12 saves for the home team.

Lauren Cochran led the Buckeyes in scoring with three goals.

The Owls will next face Massachusetts in their first Atlantic 10 Conference game of the season on Sunday, April 8 at home. Game time is noon.
