Softball: Tigers Take Two From Owls, Halting Seven Game Win Streak

PHILADELPHIA (Apr. 6) - Temple women's softball dropped a pair of games to Princeton 8-0 and 5-1.The pair of setbacks dropped the Owl's record to (16-18, 5-1 A-10) and ended Temple's seven game win streak.
In the first game Princeton scored 8 runs as the Owls were held scoreless by Tigers' pitcher Brie Galicinao. She allowed 2 hits and struck out 7. Losing pitcher Bari Lynn Pflueger allowed 8 runs on 10 hits dropping her record to 9-7.
In the second game the Temple's starting pitcher Liz Naughton (7-6) held Princeton scoreless until the bottom of the 6th. Princeton scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th to overcome a 1-0 deficit. Sophomore Bari Lynn Pfluger went 2-4 and junior Katie Spencer 1-4, 1RBI paced the Owls' 6 hit attack.
The Owls (16-18,5-1 A-10) will host St.Joseph's in a three game weekend series April 7-8, Saturday April 7 at noon (doubleheader) and Sunday at noon at Temple Stadium.
