Grace's Amazing Performance Lands Her A-10 Conference Rookie Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA - For the second week in a row an Owls' softball player has grabbed the A-10 Rookie of the Week citation (Katie Mennig April 23). Freshman softball outfielder Lynsey Grace earned the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week honor for the week ending (April 29).
For the week Grace batted 8-for -14 (.625) overall and 5-for-8 (.571) in Atlantic 10 games. Her performance helped the Owls to a 5-0 mark on the week (3-0 in the A-10). In one game against St. Bonaventure (April 28), Grace went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, two triples, a homerun and an amazing seven RBI's in a 9-2 win over the Bonnies.
She posted a.626 base percentage. Grace smacked two doubles, two triples, one homerun, scored six runs and produced eight RBI's. She currently leads the team with a .291 batting average and is third on the team in hits with 34.Grace hails from New Bedford, Massachusetts and graduated from New Bedford High School.
