The team is poised to dress 53 returning letterwinners, including 19 starters, 10 on defense and nine on offense. The Owls' 4-7 mark in 2000, was the program's best since 1990. Wallace has a 1-2 record in season openers at Temple.
Navy, under the direction of fifth-year head coach Charlie Weatherbie, is coming off a 1-10 season. The Midshipmen return 33 lettermen, including 11 starters, seven on defense and four on offense. The team will be without QB Brian Madden and DE Michael Wagoner, who have been suspended for the game due to a violation of Naval Academy rules.
