Owls defeat Northern Iowa 4-1

Temple women's soccer team defeated Northern Iowa 4-1 at the Blue Jay Classic in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. The win raises the Owls' record to 2-1 and dropped Northern Iowa's record to 1-3. The Owls exploded for four second half goals.

Senior forward Julie Marx (Newark, Del./Newark) and Senior forward Brandi Wright (Olathe, Kan./ Olathe North) each scored one goal for the Owls. Senior forward Jeanette Hibbs (Philadelphia, St. Hubert's) scored twice in the second half of the game boosting her season points total to 5 points. Owl's goalkeeper Jackie Mauro had six saves and allowed one goal.

Temple (2-1) will travel to Niagara to play at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
