OWLS STREAK HALTED AT THREE GAMES WITH 1-0 LOSS TO SIENA

Siena defeated Temple 1-0 handing the Owls their first loss at home this season and ending Temple's three game winning streak in a Saturday, afternoon game at Temple Stadium.

The loss drops the Owls' record to 4-2 overall.

Siena 's sophomore midfielder Erin Beam scored the game-winning goal in the 31st minute off a rebound from Owls' keeper Kristen Bakia (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan). Bakia starting her first game of the season, replacing injured freshman goalkeeper Jackie Mauro (Philadelphia, Pa/Arch Bishop Ryan) was solid in goal posting five saves. Temple's offensive attack produced just six shots on goal.

The Owls (4-2) will open conference play by visiting Atlantic 10 rival Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, September 25 under the lights at 7
