SOPHOMORE DANIRA PENIC TO DEFEND CISSIE LEARY CHAMPION TITLE

Philadelphia-- Sophomore Danira Penic will defend her title this weekend at the Cissie Leary Invitational held at the University of Pennsylvania. The annual event is hled in honor of tennis great Lissie Leary.

Penic was the first women from Temple to win the prestigous event last year. She defeated Sam Gingold of Princeton 6-3, 6-1, Rebecca Ho of Penn State 6-4, 6-1, and Pilar Montogomery of Penn State 6-4, 6-2 to win the invitational.
