WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO MASSACHUSETTS 6-1

AMHERST, MASS-- The Temple University women's soccer team (8-9-0, 3-5-0 A-10) fell to the Massachusetts Minutewomen 6-1 this afternoon, October 25, 2002. The Owls Atlantic 10 record drops to 3-5.

The Cherry and White were on the board early when sophomore Melissa Foley scored her second goal of the season in the 6th minute of period one. The rest of the game would belong to Massachusetts as they scored six goals including two in period one and four in period two. Temple goalie Jackie Mauro was injured in the game after suffering only minor injuries and was eventually replaced by senior Jeanette Hibbs.

The Owls travel to Rhode Island to take on the Rams on Sunday, October 25, 2002. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
