KINGSTON, R.I.--The Temple University women's soccer team (8-10, 3-6 A-10) were shutout 6-0 by Rhode Island this afternoon, October 27, 2002. The Owls have now suffered two straight shutout losses.

Senior defender Jeanette Hibbs, who was filling in for injured Owl's goalie Jackie Mauro, led the way for Temple after playing ninety minutes in goal and posting six saves. The Cherry and White had several scoring opportunities but failed to capitalize, dropping to 3-6 in Atlantic 10 play.

Temple, under the direction of nine-year Head Coach Seamus McWilliams, return home to finish out the regular season next weekend where they will face Dayton (11/1) and Xavier (11/3). Game times are 3:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
