PHILADELPHIA -- Senior Stacey Smalls (26) and freshman Candice Dupree (10) were the double-figure scorers for the Temple women's basketball team as it lost its exhibition opener to the Houston Jaguars AAU team 83-72 at the Liacouras Center on November 5.

Junior Christena Hamilton was another key contributor with seven points, five assists and only one turnover.

Tamicha Jackson led Houston with 19 points while Shaunzinski Gortman (18) and Laneisha Caufield (13) rounded out the double-figure scoring for the Jaguars. Gortman also had a game-high seven assists.
