DUPREE NETS SECOND ATLANTIC 10 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

PHILADELPHIA - Freshman center Candice Dupree of the Temple women's basketball team (4-2,0-0 A-10) earned her second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honor this past weekend. She won her first Rookie of the Week on November 24.

Dupree was force inside for the Owls in their 69-62 loss to No. 18/20 Boston College on December 7. The Tampa, Florida native scored a season/career-high 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked one shot, her tenth block of the season against the Eagles. Dupree leads Temple in scoring (13.3 ppg.), is second on the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg.) and is tops among Owls players in blocks (1.6 bpg.).

Temple will next face Rutgers (3-2, 0-0 BIG EAST)on Tuesday, December 10 at the Liacouras Center. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
