MAURO NAMED 2001 TEMPLE WOMEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman goalkeeper Jaclyn Mauro, graduate of Arch Bishop Ryan High School, was named 2001 Temple women's soccer Rookie of the Year. Mauro was chosen for the award by her teammates.
Starting 15 of the 17 games she played in for the Owls, Mauro registered 86 saves and compiled a 1.52 goals against average. Mc Willimans had high praise for the freshman saying, " Jaclyn proved to be exactly what our program needed, a premier goalkeeper. She can flat out play this game and I'm very confident she will continue to improve."
